A well established company located in the Houston, TX area has an opening for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for Quality System auditing, maintenance, and improvement of quality programs. Responsibilities will include, planning and systematic activities implemented within the quality system so that requirements will be fulfilled, quality training provided and quality system support to all departments. This will include to maintain, assist and enforce quality system by developing Job Work Instructions, plans, and audits of project work as well as maintain ASME Code requirements for pressure vessels and piping fabrication including welding procedures and welder qualifications. The ability to define, describe, and use various deployment tools in support of the Quality Management System: benchmarking, analysis, performance measurement tools, and project management tools such as PERT charts, Gantt charts, critical path method (CPM), resource allocation, etc. as well as other duties in line with this positions will be needed. To be considered you must have a four year degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with five (5) years as Quality Engineer or Mechanical Engineer, with SQC certified quality engineer (CQE), along with three years experience with ISO 9000:2000 systems. A working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel Code, a thorough knowledge of ISO 9000:2000 requirements, and a thorough knowledge of quality auditing and sampling techniques is required.
