We are currently seeking a Building Technician to join our team.
The Building Technician, under supervision, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled job duties in the maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities and landscaping. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Learn and assist in painting, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, cement and similar construction
• Alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings and related facilities, furniture and equipment
• Assist in performing landscape maintenance duties such as; light repair and maintenance of HVAC systems
• Assist in applying paint and other protective finishes to a variety of surfaces using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other related equipment
• Repairing and re-lamping of electrical systems
• Installing plugs and switches
• Cleaning out drains and obstructions in sewage systems
• Operate hand and power tools and shop equipment
• Performing locksmith duties
• Keeping and maintaining records regarding keys and materials
• Moving office furniture and equipment
• Perform related duties as required.
Specific Requirements:
• Some college preferred
• Trades Certification preferred
• 5+ years relatable experience
• Knowledge and experience of basic methods, equipment, materials and tools used in building maintenance work
• Knowledge and experience of basic methods, equipment and materials used in various trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, painting and landscaping
• Knowledge and experience in the requirements needed to maintaining buildings/grounds in a safe, clean and orderly condition
