Job descriptionTo provide technical safety engineering support, assistance and guidance to clients Tunisia Operations, (HSE, Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Production Services) and Projects Departments as required. Our client in Tunisia Operates the Miskar Gas/Condensate Field Operated Miskar Platform and Hannibal onshore processing facilities and the Hasdrubal Oil/Gas/Condensate Field
• Establish and Maintain procedures and processes to ensure that major process safety risks are identified, evaluated and controlled;
• Provide tools for risk management over the lifetime of the plant, setting standards and providing training;
• Review engineering modifications from an HSSE perspective;
• Lead / participate in HAZOP, QRA, HAZID and Risk Assessment as required;
• Ensure Company Safety Cases are accurate, reviewed and updated regularly;
• Responsible for tracking HAZOP and SRO actions;
• Follow up HAZOP and SRO modifications and provide support to the modification responsible engineer;
• Provide advice and guidance on general process safety issues including new technology;
• Develop local National employees where appropriate.
RequirementsEssential:
A minimum of 5 years relevant Safety Engineering exposure and experience.
Ability to coach and instruct others.
Must be able to deliver work in a timely and accurate manner.
Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
Excellent communication skills;
Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
Must be highly computer literate.
Desirable:
Education to a minimum of degree level in Chemical, Petroleum, Process or Engineering discipline.
Five years experience in Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industries, including HSSE experience.
Knowledge of National and International HSE Legislation and Industry Standards for E&P operations.
