Coordinator of EP Offshore Contracts Administration

CCL (www.cclglobal.com) has been requested by a leading Oil & Gas Energy company to provide a Coordinator of EP Offshore Contracts Administration to provide support and advice to the EP Offshore Project Manager and contract holders. After an initial period in London, position will be based in Kazakhstan on a residential or 4/4 rotation. Contract duration of 1 year (renewable). Excellent daily rates.
University degree in relevant subject (e.g. law). Sound knowledge of project and corporate contract procedures. Familiar with all phases of oil & gas contracts (including studies, concept selection, front-end engineering, detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning with associated management services). Familiar with pre-qualification activities, contract strategies, payment strategies, ITTs, letters of intent and final contract documents. Detailed knowledge of English Law, including dispute procedures. Ability to lead and participate in major contract negotiation, clarification, award and dispute resolution. Ability to work without supervision, to train / develop resources where necessary. Good working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or JDE, and knowledge of reporting tools such as Cognos or Crystal. Working knowledge of computer based systems (MS Office or equivalent packages). Excellent communication skills including fluency in written and spoken English.
At least 15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. Experience in the formulation and post-award contract management of major contracts (onshore and offshore design, fabrication, supply, construction installation and HUC contracts). Also experience in dealing with Partners and Stakeholders; developing, implementing, preparing and executing philosophies, strategies and procedures for contract management; negotiating settlement of major claims and contractual issues with contractors and suppliers; dispute resolution management including arbitration and court proceedings and management position and staff training and development.
