Senior Planner / Cost Engineer

CCL has been requested by a major independent oil and gas operating company to provide a Senior Planner / Cost Engineer to support planning and cost control for two projects. One during FEED engineering stage and one during pre-sanction phase. After six months will become full time project team member for execution phase for either of above. Based in Client’s offices in West London area. 1 year (renewable) contract with potential for a staff position for the right candidate. Excellent daily rates.
Ideal candidate will have degree level education in relevant discipline / equivalent qualifications / experience. Must have excellent communication and language skills including fluent written and spoken English. Good team working skills including ability to work with Contractor’s team in a cooperative way while obtaining the required results. Receptive to handling variety of cost / planning work. Good computer skills. All nationalities considered provided eligible to work in UK.
Candidates must have senior project cost / planning experience (minimum of 15 years) preferably in the oil and gas industry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Key tasks include setting up schedules, preparing and monitoring project budgets. Supervision EPC contractors cost and monitoring systems and ensure compliance with company requirements. Liaise with company Corporate Cost Manager for budget reporting. Prepare overall budgets for project sanction. Must demonstrate a personal commitment to HSE, and follow company’s Corporate HSE Policy and apply the Safety Management Systems.
