Grow your career in central Florida for this leading company. Must have Bachelor of Engineering degree and 5+ years related engineering experience. Experience in fluid systems design required. Work closely with other engineers through teams for gas turbine systems design. Development of gas turbine auxiliary systems and systems functional and operational controls. Work extensively with mechanical equipment on a system level, systems components, system hardware functional requirements, and system-engine operation modes. Responsible for the design and R&D of the auxiliary systems which supply all gas turbine frames. Responsible for activities which focus on low calorific fuels, such as syngas, for IGCC. Work with vendors to design and develop control valves, instrumentation, and other system components for the design.
Questions you will be asked:
• Explain your experience in related systems design ? (ie - gas turbine systems design, aerospace systems design, or automotive systems design)
• What is a Cv curve ? How would you propose to develop a Cv curve for a valve ?
• Based on your experience, what is the most economical type of on-off valve in a process control system? What is the best type of valve actuation to use for stable and fast actuation?
• In your systems design work, did you define an design the operation of the systems on a functional level? Any FMEA studies?
