EXCITING OPPORTUNITY!!! Our client is seeking an experienced Cryo-Piping Project Engineer to be a part of their team in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing the design of liquid nitrogen and helium distribution systems in a high level space simulation chamber. This project engineer will be responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance. Duties include directing pipe routing, fabrication and calculating thermal expansion of piping systems, which must meet ASME B31.3 process piping specifications. Additional duties include document preparation, selecting vendors and working with contractors on multi-million dollar procurement of goods and services. This is an ESCG team position. A BS degree in Engineering from an accredited college/university is required (prefer a BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering) and a minimum of 5 years experience in piping design. Candidate must familiar with PTC Pro-Engineer products, Wildfire 3.0 and Pro-Piping. Experience in cryogenics, liquid nitrogen and pressure system design is a plus. Must be familiar with consensus standards used in cryogenic, heat transfer and pressure systems for ISO, NASA, NFPA, OSHA, CGA, ASME, AVS and ASHRAE. Must meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a DoD security clearance.
