IMMEDIATE OPENINGS with a leading marine engineering company located in Jacksonville, FL. Client is searching for PIPEFITTER LEADERMEN to join their team on a direct hire basis. The successful candidate must have an Associates degree or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school and 5+ years of marine related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Pipefitters must have comprehensive knowledge of marine piping systems and be familiar with procedures for bending and threading pipe and fittings. The candidates must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, job specifications and mechanical drawings. In addition, knowledge of basic mathematics and thorough knowledge of ABS, Coast Guard and US Navy specification regarding pipe sizes, including conversion to metric system and material requirements are also essential for this position. The Pipefitters will be responsible for fitting and tack welding all systems for production welders to follow. Company offers an excellent benefits package and salary is commensurate with experience.
