We are currently seeking a high calibre Civil Designer to work on a contract basis. Based in Calgary, you will be working for one of the world's leading engineering, procurement and construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.
You will have knowledge of and/or experience in the following:
Designing preliminary sketches for basic design purposes;
Responsible to layout, model and create detail design drawings for pilings, concrete foundations, earthworks, tank farms, finish grade, paving, access and facility roads, surface drainage, catch basin, manhole and sewer, etc. for petrochemical facilities;
Preparing material take-offs;
Ensuring that budgetary and project schedule targets are met.
You must have experience in:
Working for an EPC company;
Basic and detailed design EPC project execution;
Extensive use of MicroStation, Inroads & LDD.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years related experience as a civil designer
