Reservoir Engineers

Description Our client is a major international operator. They require several Reservoir Engineers. The positions are city office-based in North Africa but may include visits to the fields or well sites. They are offered on either a Day-rate or Staff basis. Whilst the client would prefer to engage these Engineers on a Residential basis, a Rotational contract would be considered, but would be in the 8 / 3 week range rather than 4 / 4 weeks. Responsibilities are to: Carry out reservoir engineering and other subsurface activities for client operated fields. Carry out reservoir engineering tasks as required by Reservoir & Production Manager, or his designates. Conduct reservoir engineering studies (including analytical and/or simulation techniques as appropriate) for Producers assets in order to provide the technical assessment necessary for management decision making. Analyse production performance data and recommend activities in order to improve well performance and assist in planning well activity as required. Represent client at technical meetings, reviews, as required. Generate forecasts and reserve estimates to meet clients reporting requirements. Document technical work in a clear, concise and timely manner.

Ideally MSc in Petroleum Engineering Degree in Physical Science or Engineering

10+ years experience with an Operator. Preferably some on-shore experience. Preferably experience in Africa. Thorough knowledge reservoir engineering fundamentals. Experience of reservoir engineering aspects of different reservoir systems. Ability to apply appropriate reservoir engineering techniques. Good organisational skills to plan and execute studies. Ability to work effectively in a team or lead team as required. Ability to influence the operator. Knowledge and understanding of other subsurface disciplines and petroleum economics. The system used is Eclipse.
