Subsea Engineer

Description Our client based in Aberdeen requires a Subsea Engineer to work within their Production Department. The position will initially be for a 6 month contract with a possible view to long term. Role The individual filling this position will report to the Subsea Project Manager and is responsible as for delivering the right functional solution, safely, first time, on budget and on schedule. Responsibilities · To provide Subsea Engineering support to production operations on all Facilities, Subsea development projects and new developments department. · Support the implementation of all Subsea interventions required in support of Integrity related inspections and unplanned IRM activities of existing Subsea systems. · Ensure that all Subsea activities undertaken are carried out in a safe and efficient manner to comply with statutory requirements. · Provide a consistent and innovative approach from conceptual design and evaluation through to implementation, execution and operation of subsea tie-back projects. · Provide discipline specific input into existing and new assets ensuring the companies operational and commercial requirements are achieved and maintained to ensure optimized life of field costs. · Ensure sub contract work quality, cost and planning is consistent in satisfying Corporate and Legislative requirements and incorporates the benefits of new technology to minimize life of field costs. · Ensuring the provision of timely, appropriate and accurate provision of support and data to allow work programs to be identified and delivered, that deliver required business results for the relevant asset (production and cost). · Proven project management knowledge and skills. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable him/her to work in and provide a cohesive role in multiple-discipline groups at conceptual, FEED, detailed design and implementation level. · Good working understanding of the disciplines that interface with subsea design i.e. process, instrument and controls, etc. · Financial and cost management skills
