Long Term Contract, Complex Onshore Producing Field Study
This rapidly growing oil and gas independent has an ASAP need for the senior reservoir modeling engineer on a long-term contract basis. One of their onshore producing fields has been shut-in due to complex problems associated with a mix of high sulphur content oil (50%) and gas (50%)and substantial water-cut. There are approximately 35 producing wells on 180 acre spacing and a mix of injector wells. Wells are approximately 8,500 feet deep and there are multiple producing zones in this highly faulted reservoir. Company must make a decision over the next year if and when to put this field back-on production. To determine the economic viability of this asset for the long term and evaluate accurately additional upside potential, an extensive reservoir modeling study must be undertaken. There is plenty of control as this field has been producing for over 20 years. The candidate we need is the individual who possesses a strong track record of black oil reservoir modeling in complex producing reservoirs where there is multiple producing zones in a highly faulted environment. Must have the individual who is confident in making a "go" or "no go" recommendation and defending recommendation to a group of engineers.
