Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of oil & gas industry experience.
Technical Degree or Diploma.
Strong reservoir engineering and property evaluation skills.
Great communication skills required, able to work with the Development Group.
Attention to detail; consistently demonstrates integrity in their work.
Practical and self-motivated with a business minded, entrepreneurial attitude.
Knowledge of oil & gas reporting processes - understand NI 51-101 guideline.
Excellent time management and organization skills.
Software skills to include: petroleum economics (proficiency with Val Nav would be an asset), Decpro, Accumap, Excel, Word, FieldView.
Responsibilities:
Reports to Manager, Engineering.
Responsible for reserve bookings and maintenance of the corporate reserve system:
Liaison with 3rd party reserve company.
Ensure reserves are booked in compliance with NI51-101.
Maintain the reserve database.
Help prepare reserve numbers for corporate financial reporting.
Create reserve booking process & timelines.
Responsible for maintaining and reporting capital budget:
Maintain Val Nav budget database.
Create reporting processes in Val Nav for budgeting.
Create a standard process for updating our budget.
Ensure the budget in Val Nav is representative of AFE NAV costs & current production rates.
Support the production and development engineers in creating accurate production forecasts:
Look back on new well performance, help predict new well declines.
Review base declines by field.
Support the Development Group in acquisition evaluations:
Help create the summary and economics on large acquisitions.
Create Val Nav databases.
Help identify acquisition targets.
