Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services, applying knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.
Technical/Functional Responsibilities:
- Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists.
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
- Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- May specialize according to particular service performed, type of product manufactured, or phase of work involved, such as tool and fixture costs, production costs, construction costs, or material costs.
- Contributes to development of new techniques and standards; considered expert in organization. - Develops processes that require innovation and ingenuity.
- Independently applies advanced techniques and analysis.
- Supervises and develops estimates for assigned projects providing consistent application of all standards.
- Coordinates requirements with Project Managers, maintains coordination of activities, and implements specific control procedures.
- Work performed with minimal supervision; has considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of EPC Project experience REQUIRED in the Oil/Gas Industry.
- BS Degree in Construction Management and/or equivalent experience required
- Must have field cost control experience on EPC projects, preferably in the Petro-Chemical sector.
- Must be proficient in use of Access and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
