A thorough knowledge of Aramco's maintenance policies, procedures, cost and budgetsystems, and problems throughout SAO. C. Working knowledge of colloquial Arabic desirable. D. Must be willing to travel throughout area of operations and frequently commute to job locations in areas other than residence.

Comments Southern Area Maintenance Coordination and Turnaround Division (SAMC&TD) is reponsible for porviding safe, cost effective and "Best inClass" services in Maintenance Planning, Material Coordination and T&I in a timely manner to support the "Reliability" of all Southern Area Oil Operations' facilities.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops maintenance programs such as the Maintenance Management Program, Preventive Maintenance, organization, worker level job structure, manpower utilization and construction equipment requirements and utilization. Appraises and prepares reports on the effectiveness of such programs. Assists the line Maintenance organizations in the implementation of approved programs by furnishing information, authoritative interpretation, operating pilot runs, conducting training sessions and analyzing accountability and progress reports. Leads a team which is responsible for field-wide planning, scheduling and under the direction of concerned Maintenance Superintendents, the execution of all major T&Is. May relieve any of the Superintendent level positions in the Maintenance Department. Mechanical Services Shop Scheduling & Coordination Unit When the Maintenance Engineer I is assigned within a Unit, his major role shifts from being a team leader to being the Division expert on scheduling, planning and coordination. The Supervisor will rely on the incumbent to develop maintenance programs for preventive maintenance, scheduling of equipment and manpower, requirements for new equipment and review technical aspects of budgets and accountability. May receive work assignments from the Supervisor, but is expected to proceed on his own initiative to solve Division problems as a member of the Superintendent's direct staff. Application of Maintenance Engineer I when specializing in Digital Maintenance Engineering Develops complete digital systems maintenance programs for assigned Division or Department including hardware and personnel performance standards. Act as advisor to department or division head on matters related to complex digital systems. Coordinates the activities of maintenance personnel performing digital systems repair, insuring a cohesive program of engineering and technical support. Responsible, under the general direction of Superintendent in assigned Maintenance Division for overall planning, scheduling, evaluating and executing maintenance activities pertaining to digital electronic systems. These systems characteristically are located in major processing plants throughout Aramco, can cost over $2,000,000 each, and can directly affect oil and gas production. Typical processing plants include NGL, wet crude handling, refinery, gas plants sea water treatment, power and crude desalting facilities. Responsible for overall maintenance program for integrated process control systems, from in-plant hardware near controlled equipment (remote terminal units, programmable controllers, etc.,) to complex centralized supervisory control systems such as SCADA - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition). Using an overview of digital systems in a maintenance area, develops complete digital systems maintenance programs and strategies, including specialized indices to aid in maintenance evaluation. Develops and coordinates the execution of digital maintenance programs as directed by immediate supervisor. Analyzes operational control environment and makes determinations as to suitability of particular types of hardware for particular applications. Using an overview of digital systems resident within a maintenance area of responsibility develops complete digital systems maintenance programs to insure effective use of available manpower and test equipment. Develops specialized indices to aid in evaluating the maintenance being performed on digital hardware. Advises line operations and maintenance supervisors on matters related to digital systems. Serves as a technical consultant to subordinate Maint. Digital System Engineers on complex systems/circuit diagram and maintenance/repair problems.
