MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: MS Science, or PhD/ MS Petroleum Engineering or Chemical Engineering. Experience: 15 years experience. Extensive backgrounds in horizontal/ multilateral/ complex geometry well test analysis. Experience with open hole drill stem test tools, cased hole test tools, closed chamber test techniques. Expert user of analytical and numerical test analysis software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Pressure transient analysis of oil and gas well tests including interference test. Expert user of analytical test analysis software (Saphir, Pan System, WELLTEST-200). Modeling/ Interpretation of well test data using numerical test analysis packages. Design, onsite supervision and analysis of exploration well test (in particular HPHT sour gas wells). Design and interpretation of wire line tool test data, (MDT, RCI, and RDT). Prepare project reports and technical presentations/publications. Provide consultation/ mentorship/ training to other engineers, geologist, and in-house proponents. Interact with in-house proponent organization to develop research proposals. Modeling well bore dynamics using Petroleum Experts Prosper (or equivalent) and forecasting wellhead deliverability under various scenarios. Integration of well test data with other related data such as petrophysics, cores, seismic, production data, drilling, etc., in overall characterization of reservoir. Design and evaluation of stimulation techniques including acidizing and hydraulic fracturing.
