THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading oil & gas energy company to provide a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in Kazakhstan. Reporting to Eng. Team Coordinator / Construction Manager, role is to oversee / monitor execution of all mechanical / piping activities carried out during construction, including testing and commissioning. A residential position under a 1 year renewable contract. May be required to work at other company facilities. Excellent rates / allowances.
THE PERSON
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in Oil & Gas Industry which must include knowledge of metallurgical, corrosion and NDT areas. Also significant knowledge of construction and installation of piping, equipment and vessels. Will monitor execution of all mechanical activities including pipe fitting, welding, isolations, turning, milling, drilling and assembly. Must demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment by following Kazakhstan Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations and clients Health, Safety & Environment Policy. / Safety Management Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree or Diploma level qualification in Mechanical Engineering. Familiarity with international codes and local regulations relevant to piping, equipment and vessels. Computer literate. Fluent written and spoken English. Some knowledge of Russian / Kazakh languages is an advantage.
