Highly-acclaimed, Rocky Mountain Environmental Consulting Firm is actively seeking a Environmental Geologist/Engineer to join its growing office in Grand Junction, Colorado. Qualified applicants will offer a BS Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering (or related field) and have 2-5 years of experience working in the environmental consulting industry, ideally with strong experience in the oil and gas market (excavation, remediation, underground storage tank project support, etc.). This position requires project management skills and candidates will work both in the field and in the office and be responsible for task/project management and implementation, including: the coordination and preparation of assessment proposals and plans, implementation of site assessment fieldwork (including boring/well installation and soil/groundwater sampling), data management and report preparation.
This position requires the following:
- Organized, independent worker with effective written and verbal communication skills - good computer skills required.
- BS Degree in Environmental Sciences, Geology or related field (preferred but not required).
- 2-5 years of environmental consulting experience
- Any oil and gas and/or underground storage tank experience is considered a plus.
This position can interview and start immediately. Local candidates preferred. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen.
