THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil company to provide a Senior Structural Engineer. Reporting to Eng. Team Coordinator / Construction Manager, this is a residential in Kazakhstan. Typically based at Contractor premises with periodic work at other locations. 12 month renewable contract. Excellent daily rate.
THE PERSON
Minimum 5 years experience in construction activities in Oil & Gas Industry. Role includes: Monitoring, inspecting and verifying performance of the construction activities and scheduling; Ensuring that client and statutory safety requirements are adhered to by contractors; Ensuring the provision of adequate resources to carry out activities e.g. special equipment / structures and materials for technicians and / or additional specialists; and Compiling, completing and timely submitting of reports / documentation. Must have a strong commitment to safety.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Diploma or other qualification in Structural Engineering. Familiarity with international codes and local regulations relevant for steel structures. Contractor coordination and supervisory ability. Good communication skills, both oral and written, including report writing. Effective in team environments and within a multi functional and multi locational environment. Capacity to interface with foreign international and national staff. Conversant with standard computer software. Fluent in English language. Other language skills especially Russian and Kazakh are desirable.
