THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading oil & gas energy company to provide a Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment). Based initially in London for approximately 1 month then Kazakhstan on a residential basis. May be required to work at other company facilities. Contract duration 1 year (renewable). Excellent daily rates.
THE PERSON
15 years of experience with several years in a similar role with in depth technical abilities as Mechanical Engineer particularly in relation to full understanding of rotating equipment. Also front end engineering, detailed design, experience with equipment manufacturers testing and installation knowledge and operation. Expertise in managing detail design and procurement contractors on behalf of Client company. Full understanding of HSE importance in planning and executing projects. Proactive approach to HSE issues and safety management. Ability to lead HAZOP Design and Operational reviews.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Mechanical Engineering degree. Proven working knowledge of relevant technical specifications and standards. Excellent interpersonal and team working skills and ability to work with a wide range of personnel from a multi-cultural / multi-functional environment. Able to write concise, well structured technical reports and make formal recommendations. Effectively communicate engineering issues and introduce, challenge and integrate innovative technology. Excellent skills in both written and spoken English.
