Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent, with 8+ years of relevant oil and gas industry experience;
Successful track record of project development of commercial oil and gas projects, preferably including recent experience with the application of horizontal gas wells;
Superior skills in reservoir engineering, economics and risk analysis, ideally with broad exposure to completions, drilling, facilities and field operations;
Proficiency in computer applications including Value Navigator, Petrodesk, Geoscout and/or Accumap, and Excel;
Excellent communication and team work skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support to the Deep Gas team in Business Development, including identification, screening and evaluation of acquisition opportunities;
Provide sound economics and risk analysis to support prospecting for Deep tight gas in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin (WCSB);
Provide project management for deep gas developments and, working closely with Operations staff, plan and implement projects to develop deep gas resources;
Investigate industry best practices and make solid recommendations and decisions relative to drilling, completion, pilot testing, testing and facilities issues;
Provide liaison and support for deep gas development activities throughout the company;
Present recommendations and articulate ideas to senior management and other team members, and quantify upside potential and risk factors.
