Senior / Principal Assurance Engineer - Production

The role of Assurance Engineer within the Production Engineering Function in Woodside provides Integrity Engineering verification to achieve safe operation of all producing facilities

The Engineering Assurance Group is a multidisciplinary team and the Assurance Engineer provides direction of engineering standards and management of the Technical Control business processes to the division. In addition the Assurance Engineer provides advice to the broader production wide division on Management System assurance advice.

You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to excel by delivering on the key accountabilities of this role, some of which are listed below.

* Co-ordinate and participate in technical verification activities for the Production division, with support from Subject Matter Experts and Technical Authorities.
* Co-ordinate verification activities for other key business processes within the division.
* Will be required to do some short duration trips to both offshore and onshore sites/ facilities.

Experience and Qualifications:

* Degree in relevant engineering discipline, such as Process, Control, Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Materials or Marine.
* Demonstrated experience (10 years plus) in a regulated operating environment, such as Safety Case, Major Hazard Facility, Marine Class.
* Experience in Audit activities and / or management system assurance would be highly regarded.
* Able to challenge assumptions.
* Rigorous and logical work methods.
* Up front and objective style.
* Communicate at both a technical and strategic level.
* Aware of internal and external stakeholder expectations

The Production Division acts as a united function to the business and is therefore seeking individuals that are team orientated, display corporate citizenship and able to lead by example within Woodside. A strong commitment to safety with exceptional organisational and communication skills is also very desirable.
