Our Client is a major minerals company operating globally. The Mining Business Unit operations cover the first phase of the energy cycle and consist of four main activities: mineral exploration (discovering new ore deposits), mining (extraction of energy minerals), ore processing and site reclamation following mining activities. The company operates a number of mines and mineral process plants in Francophone West Africa.
Our Client treats approximately 500.000 tons of ore annually by mechanical treatment (crushing, crushing) then chemical (leaching with acid, filtration, solvent extraction, precipitation). The sulphuric acid plant and a laboratory for analysis are attached to the plant. The process is controlled by centralized control system.
A programme is in place focused on the availability of the installations has been launched with the objective to improve the availability and the output of the process.
Our Client has a requirement for an ENGINEER MAINTENANCE/WORK MACHINES, in this role your responsibilities include:
- To analyze the problems related to maintenance in the factory under their material and organisational characteristics,
- To propose solutions, to study their viability, starting and coordinating all trade work (mechanical, electricity, instrumentation, control, etc),
- To assist the owner with starting the plant.
>> For new works, you will have:
- To study the technical feasibility of the solutions suggested and to control their implementation;
- To update all documentation necessary for the use and maintenance of the plant (PIDs, machine documentation, maintenance plan, specifications of replacement, warranties, etc).
>> REQUIREMENTS:
- You should hold an Engineering diploma or equivalent in the required field (e.g. complete City and Guilds, National Diploma, Higher National Certificate)
– You should be able to show that you have experience of maintenance and new installations in a heavy industry environment (heavy industry, petrochemical and mineral process if possible) with significant experience in project management;
– You are calm and even tempered with the ability to ensure positive interaction between the various teams involved in the production process (process, exploitation, maintenance, purchasing/ stocks, etc).
– You should be interested in being based as an expatriate on an isolated site;
- You should be able to communicate in fluent English and French.
