Job descriptionROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the maintenance of company specifications, procedures, and standards relevant for the engineering and maintenance activities
Assist management to ensure adherence to standard of quality control in a number of maintenance and engineering related areas such as:
•Standards and codes for all maintenance and engineering works are properly observed
•Project engineering standards comply with quality & integrity requirements
•Appropriate processes for quality and integrity requirements are checked and applied at the various stages of new projects.
Assist with the maintenance of inspection and certification manuals as required
Provide technical support and solutions for quality issues as required
Assist with audits for assurance, verifications and corrective actions
Ensuring that the levels of quality are met for rigs equipments and materials
Provide continuous update and review of generated and issued procedures / standards / systems
RequirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering (or Mechanical Engineering, with good knowledge in Metallurgy), with formal education curriculum of 12 year schooling + 4 year degree course is required.
Additional qualification in Welding & Material fields is desirable.
8 years’ experience in design and construction in oil and gas industry on project QA/QC aspects, including welding, with some preferred experience in operating oil & gas industry.
Certifications from reputed agencies on NDT, Welding, Painting and in vessel/piping inspection or other relevant subjects will be advantageous.
Good knowledge in International Codes, Standards and Specifications and reputed Oil & Gas sector Company practices/project specifications is required.
Working knowledge on Lifting Equipment & Gas Cylinder certifications will be beneficial.
Good written and spoken English is a must.
