Senior Geoscience Technician needed immediately for a one-month contract assignment with a small independent oil and gas company located in the Galleria area of Houston, TX. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of industry experience. Responsibilities include researching data availability and collecting from HIS, A2d, Drilling Info and PI/Dwights, keeping correlation-log inventory, and creating and maintaining SMT projects by loading 2-D and 3-D seismic data, culture files, well data, formation tops and fault cut from spreadsheet, velocity and directional surveys, and raster images. Requirements include general working knowledge of subsurface concepts and drilling practices. Additional requirements include software proficiency in SMT, Neuralog, Petra, and the lease map modules of GeoGraphix and experience working south Louisiana. Candidate must be able to hit the ground running with no training.
