Senior Petroleum Engineer needed for a two to three year consulting opportunity in Cairo, Egypt. The ideal match for this position will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant production and reservoir engineering experience and prior waterflood experience. Qualifications include recent experience in the areas of field development, depletion planning, and reservoir management, and a strong operational background and experience in a mature offshore environment. Responsibilities include optimizing economic development and depletion of the primary and secondary reserves, ensuring that HSE requirements are factored into the prospect development, working with the operation based group to formulate and deliver the ongoing surveillance plans for the fields and also to progress oil winning opportunities, utilize base management common process best practices in managing field performance, supporting the generating of prospects and assess risks, leading to approval of drilling and workover opportunities, working with well engineers and service companies to optimize drilling and completions performance, and review reservoir performance once wells have been drilled, performing project post-appraisals and quarterly reviews of asset performance, leading campaigns to improve measurement and allocation processes, and working with geophysicists, geologists and other engineers to optimize production and add reserves. Software proficiency in DSS and Crystal Ball or similar nodal analysis and risk analysis software required.
