Apply Deadline: 15 Dec 2009 Location: St Croix, VI, VI World class refinery operator has immediate need for a Routine Maintenance Manager at its Caribbean location. Position provides leadership, technical expertise, and business perspectives for the Routine Maintenance Group. Responsible for the overall management of the Routine Maintenance for all refinery zone areas.
Responsibilities:
-> Maintenance of both fixed and rotating equipment in the field, working directly with operations
-> Manages direct and indirect reports comprised of millwrights, electricians, instrument technicians and their foreman and superintendents
-> Works in the refinery
Requirements:
-> BS Mechanical Engineering with 10 years experience, or high school diploma with minimum 15 years experience. Experience must be in refinery or petrochemical plant maintenance
-> At least 5 years of supervisory experience at superintendent level or higher
-> Thorough working knowledge of refinery equipment, sound industry proven maintenance practices and reliability centered concepts
-> Knowledge and ability to ensure that safety, environmental, budgetary, and strategic objectives, policies and procedures are followed
-> Understanding of mentoring concepts in Refinery Industry Best Practices, conflict resolution, team work, and self directed work teams
-> Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a diverse workforce (hourly, salaried and technical)
-> Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and manage an operating budget in excess of $10 million including the capacity to control labor and equipment expense
-> Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office, Outlook,and SAP (or similar computerized maintenance management systems)
-> Ability to lift 50#, climb equipment and scaffold, crawl through and around refinery equipment, work extended hours, weekends and holidays when required
-> Willing and able to obtain (or currently hold) a valid Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
-> Valid drivers license
