Our client, a major oil and gas operator are looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer to be based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Job Description
- Ensure the quality of the contractor's civil/structural engineering deliverables; such as:
+ Site preparation and fencing (the power generation scope is not to be included)
+ Refurbishment of existing offices and plan for new site offices
+ Infill, grading and roads
+ Drainage and paving, cable trenching, foundations, structures and buildings
- Respond to contractor technical queries
- Monitor and report on civil/structural engineering progress
- Participate in Site verification visits
- Interface with Project team on all aspects of the work (e.g., technical, execution, risk, permitting, etc.)
- Coordinate with specialist engineers in Houston on technical issues and design reviews
- Update team in Houston regarding status, achievements and issues
- Likely 2+ years including the execution phase
