Land Agent - Land/Oil and Gas/Title Search 35-45 K/yr

Location: Denver, CO, USA
An oil and gas exploration company located in Denver, CO is searching for a Land Technician with a minimum of two years of experience oil and gas land and lease acquisition experience. Relocation is not available for this position.

Responsibilities:

-> Assist Landmen in preparation of oil & gas contracts; processing of oil & gas leases and all related contracts and correspondence to files, county clerks, land administration and partners
-> Researching leases, contracts and regulatory orders for proposals or specific information for Landmen
-> Preparing form transmittals, check requests, oil & gas leases, assignments, right of ways and other associated contracts
-> Processing of Authority for Expenditures (AFEs) and invoices
-> Coordinating AFE proposals elections by partners and setting up Joint Interest Billings
-> Preparing exhibits, documents and reports for internal and external use of distribution
-> Handling clerical duties including the ability to handle computer applications such as spreadsheets and conducting regular maintenance and updating of database
-> Assisting in the coordination of Lease Records functions with the Land Managers, including unitization issues
-> Preparing & sending proposal letters to partners on well drilling, workovers, recompletions, lease acquisition, etc
-> Maintaining spreadsheets to monitor proposals, AFE spending, lease acreage and related bonus, brokerage & other costs
-> Researching & corresponding to inquiries regarding invoicing errors, broker billings, etc

Requirements:

-> 2-5 years experience as either land assistant or land tech for an oil & gas exploration company or lease broker (preferably with exposure to other depts.) or with a land title or abstracting office
-> Possess working knowledge of functions of Land Department
