Instrumentation Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Selected candidate will be expected to: Be very knowledgeable with the industrial standards and code requirements for process control systems, especially Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Fired Equipment & Boiler Management Systems (BMS), Compressor Control Systems (CCS) and Equipment Vibration Monitoring Systems (VMS). Have field experience in designing and applying advance process control for industrial facilities, preferably gas plants. Provide the required technical assistance in troubleshooting control system hardware, networking and software problems and be able to adopt vendor recommendations in the field. Work with vendor technical representatives for satisfactory resolution to problems owing to defective product. Capable to effectively review new control system installations and expansion project documentation, drawings, equipment specifications and testing procedures. Write high quality letters, reports and design packages to enable implementation of engineering recommendations. Act as mentor for young Saudi Engineers.

SELECTION CRITERIA: The candidate: Must have B. S. Engineering degree major in Electrical or Process Control Instrumentation. Must have 9 years of experience in process control instrumentation, preferably as a process control system engineer.

COMMENTS: Hawiyah NGL Plant (HNGL) is a new grassroots facility designed to process Haradh and Hawiyah Gas Plants mixed sales gas streams to extract recoverable NGL's for use in Yanbu and Jubail. HNGL contains gas treating, mercury removal and heat recovery systems for energy efficiency. It is uniquely designed to act as straddle facility that can bypass the rich sales gas in the event of a problem in the master gas system.
