THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil company to provide a Piping, Valve and Vessel (PVV) Engineer for a position based in Abu Dhabi with some international travel. Residential position (single or accompanied). Minimum 12 months (renewable) contract. Internationally competitive daily rate.
THE PERSON
Report to Engineering Manager. Monitor / control Contractor activities / achievements in accordance with contractual requirements. Ensure scope of work is fulfilled. Review / analyze planning updates including critical path for discipline related activities; review / approve progress. Coordinate / follow up scope of work, EPC, expediting, FAT. Liaise / coordinate interfaces with other disciplines to ensure compliance of works. Review / comment on contractor documents in due time. Provide technical inputs for definition of pre-commissioning / commissioning. Participate in site surveys. Provide engineering support to site activities / participate in meetings at site.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Responsible for PVV activities during detailed engineering / procurement phases of Upstream project. Definition of PVV specification requirements / monitor Contractor compliance with all aspects of specified requirements. Contribute to successful management of PVV interfaces in project. Make recommendations / decisions on PVV matters and options as appropriate. Fluent written and spoken English.
