Universal Ensco employs over 1,500 personnel and has completed over 3,500 pipeline projects for hundreds of clients in the oil and gas industry throughout North America as well as in China, the Middle East, the former Soviet Union, South America and Africa. Headquartered in Houston, Universal Ensco has locations in Tulsa, OK, West Monroe, LA, South Bend, IN, and Ankara, Turkey.
Universal Ensco is currently seeking Pipeline Engineers to work on a full time basis in Shreveport and West Monroe, Louisiana. Emphasis is on Meter and Regulating stations, but will consider any who have oil & gas pipeline engineering experience.
Position Overview:
Summary
Pipeline project execution. Preparation of specifications, materials and/or construction, related to pipelines and their related facilities such as block valves; meter sites; compressor/pump stations; etc. Preparation of Project Execution Plan, Design Basis, HAZOP studies, Design Risk Assessment and other studies and reports as required.
Requirements
Education Required: Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering
Additional Certification: P.E. registration preferred
Responsibilities
Familiarity with design of large diameter natural gas and/or liquids pipelines. Previous responsibilities should include involvement in the various phases of the pipeline installation process (i.e. planning, route selection, permitting, detailed design and construction).
Preparation of specifications (materials and/or construction) related to pipelines and their related facilities (block valves, meter sites, compressor/pump stations, etc.).
Familiarity with civil survey and environmental requirements associated with the FERC permit process, assigning temporary work space and determining required construction techniques for various terrains (i.e. conventional, waterbodies, marsh, shallow water, urban, HDD, etc).
Familiarity with preparing budgetary cost estimates for material and construction and "Level one" schedules
Familiarity with document and drawing requirements for the permitting and detailed design / construction phase of a project.
Preparation of Project Execution Plan, Design Basis, HAZOP studies, Design Risk Assessment, and other studies and reports as required.
Have strong technical background.
Work in a very project oriented culture.
Have strong project execution focus.
Good spoken and written English is required; secondary language a plus.
Ability to complete and pass pre-employment background and drug test.
Must be willing and available to travel within the U.S.
