Principal Engineer needed for a full-time opportunity in Houston, TX with an offshore oil and gas consulting company. The ideal candidate will have bachelor’s degree in engineering with a master's or PhD degree in naval architecture or marine engineering preferred, and a minimum of 10 years experience with FPSO’s including mooring and riser design. To be considered for this position the candidate must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas, and authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. This role reports directly to the company vice president. Responsibilities include supervising onsite engineers; reviewing and approving all technical engineering work conducted and sent out through the Houston office; managing projects, including tracking schedules, cost and resource requirements; ensuring that projects are compliant with the company quality system; dealing with clients and potential clients; preparing proposals including scope of work, execution, plan, key deliverables, and cost and schedule. The role includes capturing and furthering company intellectual property; and marketing and business development to assist in meeting the required revenue targets for the Houston office.
