Norwest Corporation is an energy, mineral resource and environmental consulting company with offices in Canada and the United States. The Canadian operation has offices in Calgary, AB and Vancouver, BC and currently employs over 120 full-time staff, as well as a number of professional associates. We have experienced significant growth in the past two years and expect this to continue as we broaden our client base and diversify the range of services that we offer.
Norwest offers its professionals the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects. We contract our expertise to mining and energy companies, utilities, financial institutions, land developers, governments, legal firms, and regulatory agencies around the world. For each project, we carefully assemble a knowledge-based team of experts who are highly accomplished at developing and operating world-class ventures.
We are currently seeking Wellsite Geologists / Technologists for our Oil Sands winter drilling programs.
General Position Description
The primary role of the Oil Sands Wellsite Geologist /Technologist is to ensure that geology-related procedures are adhered to, and geological data is collected and recorded during drilling operations. Successful candidates will report to a Project Manager and participate in many aspects of an oil sands exploration drilling program and may include project administration duties.
