The company seeks a self-motivated individual with at least 10 years industry experience who can work independently with minimum direction and supervision alongside a small team of G&G, Land, Drilling, and Engineering staff. Some experience with a small independent is desirable. A BS degree in Geology is required, an MSc degree is preferred. This individual will lead the company’s exploration and exploitation efforts in two key asset areas, reporting directly to the Vice President of Exploration. Some experience in unconventional reservoir development is required.

The position requires broad experience in geological and geophysical evaluation of exploration and development potential including regional/basin/play evaluation, play/prospect generation, new discovery appraisal, field development and mature field exploitation. The candidate must be skilled at the integration of a range of data resources including 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, petrophysics, and geochemistry. Strong background in prospect analysis and ranking, risk assessment and volumetrics is necessary; horizontal drilling experience is a plus.
Computer Skills
Experience using PETRA and SMT Kingdom interpretation software or equivalent and strong written and oral communications skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
