With long term projects working for some of Australia's largest Oil & Gas companies this Engineering consultancy are looking for an experienced person to join their thriving team in Brisbane. Over 25 years experience put this reputable company at the forefront of the Oil & Gas industry especially in Pipelines and Coal Seam Gas Development, and this is demonstrated by their growing list of projects throughout central Queensland. We are working with this consultancy in their search for a Senior Designer/Drafter to lead the design team, providing training and mentoring to the other designers and drafters. With experience in design, the candidate will have had exposure to the oil & gas or process industries, especially designing within the pipeline environment. The primary expertise will be in Mechanical design however, Instrument and Electrical design and drafting capabilities will be favourably endorsed.
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
• Exceptional communication skills
• Confidence in liaising with clients
• Delivery of projects on time and budget
• Design/Drafting qualifications and strong standards / procedures. Knowledge and proven expertise with latest CADD drafting software especially AS2885 and B31.3
• Proven ability to lead a team of drafters
This is a permanent role offering the applicant the opportunity to make a difference to the growth and development of this office. With most of the work based in the office, there will also be time spent in the field as required.
