Production Engineer - Natural Gas/Production/Distribution

Location: Springfield, VA, USA
Well established Natural Gas production and distribution company has immediate need for a Specialist Engineer V / Production at its North East Virginia location for a 6 month Temp-To-Perm position.

Responsibilities:

-> Design and Engineering for Production Engineering Area
-> Project management associated with storage, production, gate station, large pressure reducing / monitoring facilities, transmission system and distribution facilities
-> Operations and Management support for storage, production, gate station, and system related facilities
-> Working in field locations 50% of the time

Requirements:

-> Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
-> P.E. License for State of VA
-> 5 - 8 years experience in Natural Gas industry or power plant related experience, pulp & paper or refinery will also be considered
-> Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
-> Comprehensive knowledge of storage and production plant facilities
-> Proficiency in providing accurate engineering project cost estimates
-> Working knowledge of federal codes and standards to include DOT 192, ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code, and NFPA 58 & 59
-> Excellent presentation skills communicating complex messages to diverse audiences
-> Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project
-> Working experience with mechanical plant engineering, facilities maintenance, large boilers, large HVAC, welding procedures and inspections are a plus
-> Knowledge of natural gas industry safety practices, valves, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, control valves is a plus
