Aerotek Energy Services is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager for our large International oil & gas company. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity & our client is located in NW Houston, TX.
JOB DUTY:
This position directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for specification, development, and release of new and revised capital equipment drawings within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through delegation to subordinates.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedules all automation engineering activities based upon resources and priorities. Maintains up to date master schedule.
- Coordinates engineering activities through planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Attends all project preview and kick-off meetings.
- Implements and enforces software control procedures to establish standards for control, function blocks, code layout, etc. to promote uniformity in our clients designed software.
- Implements and enforces hardware I/O standardization to promote uniformity with our clients design.
- Establishes and monitors overall schedule of engineering projects, engineering standards, and performance for engineering production and quality standards in compliance with work orders.
- Responsible for delivering quality documentation that meets our customer’s expectations.
- Coordinates an FMEA review on each project to ensure the safest control system operation.
- Establishes and manages a software revision control procedure to ensure accuracy in both in-house and field-installed projects.
- Coordinates software revisions with product support group to ensure latest field revisions are updated in project folder.
- Maintains safe working conditions and practices.
- Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
MINUMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education - Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Electrical Engineering, preferably from a four-year college or university; Seven years related OIL & GAS experience with 5 years Engineering management experience.
-Experience with & operating control systems within the oil & gas industry.
-Experience overseeing Engineering Team.
- Tools, Technology and Equipment- Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
-Experience with Siemens Step 7 control systems.
