Our client is a leading supplier of complex subsea equipment to major Oil & Gas organisations worldwide, and an exciting opportunity has arose within their Perth-based operation for an experienced Controls Engineer. The Controls Engineer will work as part of a multi-faceted Engineering team, which takes responsibility for the planning, execution and sign-off of installation/maintenance projects across Australia. As the main link between engineering and field functions this person will be expected to ensure that technical deliverables are successfully implemented on-site by field staff, in which instances the successful applicant will be based offshore rather than at their Perth base.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Degree in relevant Engineering discipline with significant past exposure to subsea equipment
Knowledge of electro-hydraulic control systems, HPUs, subsea distribution systems and other related controls equipment.
Fault-finding/trouble-shooting experience with PLC & SCADA systems (ideally Wonderware)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Driven and customer-orientated attitude to work
