Due to considerable growth, our client has a position for an experienced Estimator. You will become an integral member of this leading Canadian provider of specialty fabrication, machining, offshore services, and marine refits and repair. Offering quality services for top tier organizations, you will be part of an exceptional team with a solid reputation for impeccable quality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities will include:
Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for a variety of projects including marine refits and industrial mechanical projects
Visit job sites and prepare take-offs
Advise on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders
Recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, owners, contractors and subcontractors
The successful candidate will be passionate about industrial, marine, offshore or related industries and looking to join an organization within which they can have a satisfying career.
Requirements include:
University Degree or College Diploma or Trade related Certification
Minimum 5 to 10 years of Industry experience
Minimum 3 years in an Estimating role
Excellent communication skills
Strong computer skills
