Our client is an Oil and Gas Owner in the Calgary area involved in Oilsands exploration and development. They are currently rapidly growing and therefore looking to add to their team. They have an immediate need for a Reservoir Engineer with Oilsands Experience.
This is a permanent position and is based in Calgary.
The successful candidate will possess the following Qualifications:
- Total of 10-15 years experience
- Candidate MUST HAVE 3+ years Oilsands experience
- 3+ years of field experience
- Qualified candidates can possess either a B.Sc. in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology
- Excellent communications skills
- P.Eng preferred but not necessary
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and make recommendations for moving from the testing stage to commercial production schemes.
- Provide production forecasts and optimized field development plans using the best available methods, including developing and extending the field simulation models.
- Develop and design reservoir testing simulation models and processes.
- Conduct in-house simulation programs/studies and evaluation of field testing.
- Analyze and report technical data in a timely manner consistent with the objectives of the Corporation.
- Work closely with reservoir characterization programs on the computer, in the laboratory and in the field.
- Work with Geology and Geophysics to ensure adequate data management flow and optimum geology architecture for recovery scheme analysis.
- Working closely with other engineering and operating colleagues to create solid collaborative teams.
- Occasional travel to field sites, vendors, suppliers or contractors may be required.
