THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by an international oil and gas operating company to provide a Cost Engineer. Must be willing to travel as required by Client. Remuneration negotiable, contract duration one year. Client would prefer candidates residing in the Houston area. Very good long term prospects. This vacancy is being handled by our Houston office.
THE PERSON
At least 15 years of FPSO cost engineering experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably with Operating Companies. Good team player with sound knowledge of modern project control techniques. Ability to work as part of an Operator team within an EPC contractor environment including interface with the EPC contractor on project control issues. Responsible to the Senior Controls Engineer (Cost) for ensuring that EPC Contractor project costs are controlled and accurately reported in line with the Project Control Central Office Procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
A relevant degree, equivalent combinations of training and / or related experience will be considered. Sound knowledge of computer scheduling programs (i.e., Kildrummy). Broad knowledge of subsea operations, regulatory requirements and midstream operations is beneficial. PMP certification is desired. Must have excellent verbal / written communication skills and effective interpersonal
