Senior Reservoir Engineer

We are privileged to be inviting applications for the senior position of Senior Reservoir Engineer to join the Reservoir Engineering Team, and report to the Team Leader in the Brisbane head office. Your primary function in this role is to provide Reservoir and Asset Managers with high level technical expertise in the area of Reservoir Engineering, with the main twin objectives of maximising reserve bookings, and optimising field development and production.

Your key duties will include:

- Developing and maintaining the Asset Field Development Plans and associated reservoir simulations;
- Leading asset area reserves certification processes via reservoir modelling, accurate reporting and reservoir data gathering programs;
- Supporting the Asset continual improvement initiatives by studying and recommending optimal well spacing, infill drilling opportunities and enhanced recovery opportunities;
- Conducting engineering planning for pilot programs, predicting performance, monitoring and interpreting results; and
- Actively supporting the 's commitment to occupational health and safety and the environment.

The appointed candidate will possess a Masters degree or higher in Engineering or Science and will have a minimum of 8 years experience in the Petroleum Industry (CSG experience will be an advantage). You will have solid expertise in reservoir simulation and evaluation, field development planning and reservoir monitoring. You will also have experience in leading projects through to completion.

Your industry experience will have provided knowledge of other discipline tasks such as operations, drilling, facilities engineering, log analysis, geology and geophysics. The successful applicant will also have high level computer skills, including Microsoft Office and exposure to industry standard reservoir, simulation and production engineering software. You will be self motivated, with high levels of initiative and adaptability, and you will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
