POSITION SUMMARY
Provide reservoir engineering technical support and representation for the projects in Development with focus primarily on offshore Australia Browse Basin gas fields. However, as needed, the individual will assist in other technical efforts within Development. As a BHPBilliton employee, HSE, Quality, Regulatory, Risk Assessment/Mitigation, Contingency planning and other associated programs are managed according to BHPB Corporate and Petroleum standards, policies and practices.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Participate in equity determination technical sub-committee.
* Field Depletion Plans: create robust development scenarios for the fields: well types, number, locations, timing.
* Reserves: Create production profiles for fields and help achieve stated business goals and milestones.
* Dynamic properties in geologic models: Provide guidance to geoscience model development related to fluid flow aspects of models.
* Saturation functions: Collaborate with petrophysicist to develop saturation-height functions, facies classifications, and relative permeability curves for use in models.
* Developing strong working relationships with technical members of partner teams.
* Communicate with JV partners and regulatory bodies on engineering technical issues, as requested.
* Foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment to achieve job satisfaction and, consequently, contribute effectively.

* Document technical work.

AUTHORITY & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
The incumbent will be a staff reservoir engineer in the team, responsible for technical coordination and mentoring of less senior REs on the team. The reservoir engineer will work closely with all subsurface team members. External stakeholders should be engaged in a positive manner.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate should have at least fifteen years or more of relevant experience. Experience with large (greater than $1Billion) developments is desirable as is experience with equity determination, reserve estimation, geological modeling, reservoir characterization, production assurance, well planning and drilling operations.
