Reports to: Maintenance Department
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, and all instrument / control systems.
Perform the duties of Responsible Person Electrical (RPE).
Principle Functions of the Position:
Supervise and carry out maintenance / routine inspection activities of electrical plant and equipment, and automation / electro systems in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System, ensuring.
All maintenance and maintenance related activities are carried out to the highest standards;
All test and inspection routines required by the Planned Maintenance System are completed;
Proper records are maintained.
Maximize the availability of plant and equipment and optimize control of spares.
Effect the repair of plant and machinery after failure.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Safety Critical Functions
Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of emergency plant, equipment and machinery.
Manage the maintenance and records of safety critical elements.
Experience Factors
Minimum 5 years offshore experience.
Previous experience with responsibility for maintenance of electrical and instrument plant / systems and equipment.
Previous FPSO experience.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Recognized technical or academic qualification
Electrical / Instrument / Control apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme
Offshore Survival / Firefighting with HUET
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
Knowledge of the COMPANY Maintenance Philosophy, MMS, Safety Critical Elements (SCE's), and the Combined Written Scheme for Examination and Verification of SCE's.
Thorough knowledge of the PTW system and risk assessment procedures.
Knowledge of mechanical, instrument and electrical systems.
Understanding of production and marine systems, including the principles of all hydrocarbon systems and their safety critical interfaces and dependencies.
