Location: Australia Provide hands on reservoir engineering support as part of a multi-disciplinary team for Woodsides LNG developments in Australia.
Responsibilities include:
* Performing reservoir simulation and classical data analysis to ensure a sound technical basis on which to define the resource range during the field development planning and reservoir management stages.
* Coupling reservoir simulation models to surface networks to optimise production.
* Conducting history matching on producing fields as part of the reservoir management.
* Advising on, co-ordinating and when necessary supervising data acquisition on appraisal wells to ensure work is timely, accurate and informative
* Communicating and liaising with other subsurface disciplines to build shared earth models for development opportunities.
* Assimilating and integrating appraisal data, including fluid and core programs, for accurate representation in the dynamic simulation modelling.
New technologies are continuously having major impact on E&P projects and need to be very closely monitored and carefully considered in business evaluations. Experience of critically evaluating and modelling complex well completions e.g. SMART systems and coupling reservoir simulation models to surface networks for production optimisation.
Critical Competencies
Ability to provide competent reservoir engineering support to field development activities with minimum supervision, while working as an effective team member in a dynamic multi-disciplinary team
*
Able to constructively give and receive technical challenge
*
Capability to produce well considered, full life cycle reservoir management plans to optimise recovery and value, i.e. competent technical reservoir engineering judgement across a breadth of reservoir engineering disciplines to quantify and manage sub-surface uncertainties critical to the business
*
Demonstrated dynamic reservoir modelling capability and proficiency with ECLIPse/PETREL RE software
*
Commitment to maintaining accurate data and concisely documenting work at an appropriate level of detail
Qualifications
*
Petroleum Engineering Degree/equivalent or better
