Job Title: Senior Reservoir Engineer (Reservoir Modeling)
Job Location: WUSA Headquarters in Houston, Texas
Group: Gulf of Mexico Engineering and Operations

Our desire is to further build the modeling expertise within our US Business Unit and utilize this expertise in future development opportunities. The Reservoir Engineer incumbent will have the opportunity to offer advice on the application of this expertise going forward.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be the principal Reservoir Engineer responsible for advanced reservoir modeling on our core producing assets within the US Business Unit. With our ongoing active deepwater exploration program this position will also be critical in our new field appraisal and development efforts as we commercialize new discoveries. The role also has the potential to provide additional engineering support to our exploration efforts within the Houston Office. In addition to dynamic modeling efforts this challenging position offers the candidate the opportunity to apply classical reservoir engineering skills and approaches on our complex and challenging deepwater fields and opportunities. Modeling efforts will be on both operated assets as well as non-operated fields and will require significant interaction with partners requiring proactive communications. Sharing of modeling knowledge and learning from others is critical to our success in these efforts going forward.
The successful candidate will work with our exceptional Geologist and Geophysicist staff to create static geologic model(s) of our assets. From these static models, the candidate will create a robust working Reservoir Simulation models for use in history matching field production, determining reservoir characterization and conducting predictive future development plans and production profiles which will be utilized for our investment decisions and Business Planning Process.
Qualifications Required
• 5+ years experience as a Reservoir Engineer.
• Exceptionally strong working knowledge of both static and dynamic reservoir modeling (Static modeling with Petrel (or SKUA), and Dynamic modeling with Eclipse).
• Strong classical Reservoir Engineering skills and proven technical track record of accomplishments.
• Strong team working skills.
• Demonstrated proactive approach to managing responsibilities.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the desire and ability to be an active member of the Engineering and Operations Team.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
Qualifications Preferred
• 10+ years with a major or independent oil & gas exploration & production company as a Reservoir Engineer.
• Direct experience in building and managing dynamic reservoir models within Eclipse.
• BS degree in Petroleum Engineering or related Engineering degree Other Information Position will be eligible to participate in a robust compensation and benefits package including incentive program(s).
