Location: Saudi Arabia POSITION DESCRIPTION: Has direct field responsibility for the working over of wells both onshore & offshore on a 14 days on, 7 days off work rotation. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to; Ensuring well operations are performed expediently, safely & according to industry accepted standards. Enforcement of Saudi Aramco's safety and environmental policies. Implementation of Saudi Aramco's Well Control standards. Compliance by contractor to follow appropriate SMS policies and ensure contractor fulfill requirements within terms, conditions & equipment as per contract. Guidance & training of Jr. Foremen and any trainee Drilling and Workover Engineers posted to the rig site Co-ordination of materials, equipment & personnel in a timely manner as per Workover program and ensuring accuracy of service companies field tickets, with regard to services provided & charges. Daily reporting & communication with office based Superintendent. These workovers will include, but not be limited to, isolation of existing perforations, setting & kick-off from cement plugs and whip-stocks, running & retrieval of ESP completions, mechanical work-over's consisting of casing repairs and perforation clean out, fishing & wire-line operations.
SELECTION CRITERIA: High school or completion of ITC: English, ERW, Math, MI. Fluent in English both verbally & written. Minimum 15 years experience, 5 of which in foreman's position. Proven job knowledge to handle operational responsibilities on many various locations and ability to demonstrate sound judgment, honesty and leadership.
COMMENTS: Workover Department is one of the nine departments in Drilling & Workover organization. The department is responsible for working over all the oil producers, water injectors and water supply wells in Saudi Aramco for both onshore and offshore fields. It handles mechanical workovers and re-entry sidetracks. The department looks after both workover engineering and operations and has around 30 rigs.
