Aker Offshore Partner Ltd based in Aberdeen, have excellent opportunities for talented individuals who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the engineering, construction, maintenance, modification and operations market.

We are currently looking for a Senior Estimator.

Responsibilities and tasks

To prepare Cost Estimates in accordance with company procedures on various activities including Studies and Projects, and to provide a comprehensive estimating system covering Capex, Opex and Life Cycle Costs for all levels of estimates related to onshore plant and fixed production facilities in the North Sea and onshore facilities. To obtain feedback from completed projects and input information into database of in-house information related to company rates, norms and prices.
Providing estimating services for Modifications and Projects works within a Modifications Type Contract environment.
Preparing top down, screening estimates and detailed, level 3 & 4 estimates consistent with scope definition and in accordance with Estimating procedures and Guidelines, and the Company Risk Management system.
Liaising with contract Project Engineering to ensure the necessary information is made available to prepare the required estimates.
Providing estimating advice to senior projects personnel when doing comparative studies
Liaising with other Team members in the pursuit of effective cost control
Input as required to development of estimating systems to meet current and future needs.
Providing feedback on norms and prices for engineering, materials, construction, operations and Life Cycle costing.
Maintaining processes within the Company Management System
Attendance at project meetings to answer queries on Estimating
Assisting with the commercial aspect of Project Management
Support the cost risk assessment process
All roles as defined on the estimating competency matrix
Highly numerate
Demonstrable experience in North Sea or other Oil and Gas estimating

Must be Eligible to Work Within the UK

Qualifications & personal attributes

QS or other professional qualifications, HNC/HND preferred
Member of Association of Cost Engineers preferred
Good teamworking
Good self motivation and
Good communication skills
