Summary
Installs hardline rig-ups for wells support work, and performs maintenance work on oilfield related equipment and facilities. May also drive/operate heavy equipment and fluid transport trucks.
Essential Functions
Duties will vary according to needs, but performs manual labor including clean-up, stick-picking, and heavy labor such as laying out hardline pipe, and hauling or stacking materials on trailers or skids. Performs hard line inspection and rebuilds and operates various types of Wells Service equipment. Responsible for setting up various types of Wells Support jobs. Operates triplex pump. Performs various types of rigging. Performs hydrotesting on hardline or wellheads, checks for leaks. Uses various tools to perform wells support work.
May drive tractor/trailer combination and/or operate loader/forklift, boom truck, guzzler, vacuum truck or tanker.
Routinely performs safety and productivity observations; shop, field, and vehicle inspections; and is required to attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.
Must demonstrate support for the company's environmental management system objectives.
Qualifications
Each level describes qualifications that may be in addition to those listed at lower levels.
Level 100
Related work experience preferred. Must be able to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate; and demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures. Must be capable of learning various types of rig ups and rig downs; how to operate tractor/trailer combinations; and how to operate loader/forklifts, boom trucks, guzzlers, vacuum trucks or tankers. Requires Class ''A'' commercial driver's license with ''TX'' endorsements (this requirement may be waived at the company’s discretion for temporary hires).
Level 200
One (1) year of related experience preferred. Must be familiar with flange identification, triplex pump, and basic rigging procedures. Must have sufficient knowledge to set up all Wells Support jobs. Must have understanding of Wells Support procedures and equipment. Must have experience with Wells Service equipment such as loaders, boom trucks, guzzlers, vacuum trucks and tankers. Must be familiar with bolt-up components and procedures, hydrotesting and rigging.
Level 300
Two (2) years related experience preferred. Must demonstrate understanding of proper use of tools and be familiar with wellhead components.
Level 400
Four years of related experience preferred. Must demonstrate leadership qualities, including ability to work with minimal supervision and superior work and safety performance.
Note: Skills tests may be required of new hires to demonstrate core proficiencies, or of existing employees to advance to a new job level.

HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms and warnings.
VISUAL ACUITY: Vision must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner.
LIFTING: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must display ability to read and understand job descriptions, safety/technical manuals and safety/warning signs. Must display sufficient oral communication skills to be able to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to arctic weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, confined spaces, and the risk of electrical shock. May be required to work with toxic or caustic chemicals
